There is still four months to go before Sonakshi Sinha starts shooting for Dabangg2 in March 2012.A year ago buzz was that the film could either move forward with Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey becoming parents or go into flashback mode.Sonakshi who is preparing to play Rajjo again, opposite salman Khan admits the story moves forward in the sequel to her hit debut.

According to Sonakshi “I don’t think I can divulge too much about a film that’s yet to go on floors.Arbaaz (director, producer, script writer) may not like it. We have to try and
keep as much as we can under wraps till the film's release, next Christmas.Since I was shown pregnant in the last few frames of the film, I am quite sure I will be playing mummy to Chulbul Jr.

Sonakshi is completing work on Shirish Kunder’s Joker and will then begin for the period romance “Lootera” with Ranveer Singh in December. Then I am back to my saris in Dabangg 2 she Say’s.

As per the latest reports, Sonakshi Sinha has dropped Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 for Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 2. This was the toughest decision for the Sinha babe to make since both are the big-budget and big banner movies. But finally she had to say yes to Khans who gave her the blockbuster successful debut with Dabangg.

The confusing thing for Sonakshi was the dates of both movies, as they carry the same dates for shooting. This made her to zero in one.

Sonakshi cannot afford to ruin her relationship with Arbaaz Khan and Salman Khan who gave her the big break in filmdom and he also realized the fact that spoiling relations with the Khans would not be good. Thus she said ‘sorry’ to the men in white, Abbas-Mustan.
The fact remains that Salman Khan cares her a lot and Sinha family has good relations with Salman Khan and his family thus decision making for Sonakshi was pretty clear.
Since in Race 2, Sonkashi is not the single heroine rather Deepika Padukone too plays other main lead and obviously she is senior to Sonakshi, the Dabangg girl then preferred the Khans’ product to Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 since she is the solo lead in Dabangg 2.
Abbas of Abbas-Mustan’s duo makes it also confirmed that Sonakshi had the same dates for both the movies thus they had no option but to let her go.

As per the reports, Dabangg 2 and Race 2, both will go on floors by next year in March 2012.

Salman Khan is turning a writer again for Dabangg 2--the latest buzz in tinsel town. Adding to that Sallu clarified the statement saying that he is not going to wear the cap of script writer for Dabang g2.

Since Abhinav Kashyap, the director of Dabangg, is now out of the picture, too much burden has fallen on the shoulders of the producer Arbaaz Khan, Salman’s brother.

“Arbaaz has penned it (the script) himself and it's a mind-blowing script,” Salman is quoted to have said.

Salman has been busy wrapping up the patchwork of his much-awaited Eid release Bodyguard. After its release, he will start shooting for Ek Tha Tiger with Katrina Kaif. So Dabangg 2 won’t go on the floors before 2012.

Sonakshi Sinha has walked out of forthcoming Bollywood film Race 2. The actress choose Salman Khan's much-hyped Dabangg 2 over Abbas-Mustan directorial multi-starrer film.

The actress has confirmed that she has opted out of Race 2 due to date issues. The delay in the shooting clashed her dates with Dabangg 2 and she could not accommodate both the films. Sonakshi Sinha is disappointed for not being part of Abbas-Mustan's movie, which stars Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Ameesha Patel.

However, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg 2 will take off in March 2012. Arbaaz Khan, who had produced the first instalment, has taken the responsibility of directing the forthcoming Bollywood film after director of the first version, Abhinav Kashyap walked out of the film.

Dabangg 2, produced and directed by Arbaaz Khan, and starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz. The sequel also made room for baddie Prakash Raj.

After the story narration took place on October 21, Sonu has reportedly quit. So what really happened here? And this has been still kept a secret. According to a source from the storytelling department, Sonu was meant to be in the sequel in the role of the 'main' baddie. He would have had his shot again during the Munni Badnaam Hui kind of number. His scenes allowed him a chance to showcase his six-pack abs and fight with Salman in the climax. But he would definitely have less screen time because Prakash was being introduced as a comic villain, shades that his own character Cheddi Singh showed in the original.

Our source adds, once the narration was done, Sonu and Arbaaz hugged and shook hands. All seemed well but we hear that the film's original baddie wasn't one bit kicked about sharing space with the Wanted and Singham villain. Sonu and Arbaaz have apparently been having discussions on this subject even till the time we go to press. However Sonu who has been the only villain in Dabangg, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu is certainly not in favour of having his own role diluted.
Dabangg has done wonders for the Khan family, propelling Salman Khan to the numero uno spot, numerous awards and acclaim for first-time producer Arbaaz Khan and not to forget the 'hottest item girl' tag for Malaika Arora Khan.

With success comes demand, and now Salman Khan's kitty is so flush with projects that he has no time to work on Dabangg 2. Considering that Salman has to first finish Bodyguard, then start shooting for Yashraj's Ek Tha Tiger (with Katrina Kaif) and younger brother Sohail's jungle adventure Sher Khan. It is all but apparent that filming for Dabangg 2 cannot commence this year.

Reveals Arbaaz to a tabloid, "Salman Khan is a big star. He has several films lined up before he gets ready for Dabangg 2. He has to finish Atul (Agnihotri)'s Bodyguard. Then he has to start two films later this year, one for Yashraj and the other for brother Sohail. This is the first time Salman is working with Yashraj. And we're all very excited about it."

Arbaaz Khan in now hopeful that the can start filming Dabangg 2 in the middle of next year and he want's to use the time in-between wisely. Arbaaz wants to make sure that he creates a good product, read need a good script, and the most important thing of all -- find an item song that will be as big a sensation as Malaika's Munni badnam hui.

In the meantime, there are two remakes for Dabangg fans to consider, the Tamil version which has already started filming, and a Telugu version which is in the works.

In the Tamil remake young south star Silambarasan will be playing Salman Khan's character Chulbul Pandey.

With a movie that was the years' top grosser, the winner at every major award function including the National Award, two remakes in the making, and an inevitable sequel. For Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg is the fruit that keeps giving and giving.

Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan has already begun work on the sequel to his national award winning film " Dabangg" and says the first draft of the script is ready.

"Work on 'Dabangg 2' in on. We are waiting for Salman (Khan) bhai's dates. We are likely to begin the production in mid-September next year," Arbaaz said on the sidelines of the Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) at Kingdom of Dreams late Thursday night.

The film, starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, became 2010's biggest blockbuster by earning Rs.145 crore. Arbaaz admits he is nervous about making a sequel.

"There is a little nervousness for sure as the expectations are high but we would definitely be presenting something good and interesting," he added.
